Doom Eternal has certainly earned a place in my top 5 FPS titles of all time. And I am a long time Halo fan, so I really mean that. The level of detail, entertainment value, production value, gameplay mechanics work, developing skills and story depth e.t.c. put in this game are so breath-taking (*insert Keanu Reeves meme here*?) that at several points in my playthrough I found myself having to literally put the controller down just simply to contemplate how much time, dedication and love was put into this particular game.

Doom: Eternal for PC easily meets and exceeds the bench mark set forth by its’ 2016 predecessor. The gameplay is a bit more challenging this time around, with tricky jump puzzles and combat scenarios that demand strict resource management and weapon utilization. The levels are simply gorgeous, and are far more distinctive and unique in design when compared to Doom 2016.For me, the most intriguing aspect of the game is the vastly expanded lore that includes further exploration of the inter-dimensional demons, as well as the inclusion of a medievalist warrior caste called the Night Sentinels, and an advanced alien race called the Maykrs. With the epic world building that takes place in this game, it’s easily apparent that ID Software was beyond ambitious when developing Doom: Eternal. The result is a sequel that is bigger and better than any Doom game before it, yet successfully maintains the charm and fun factor that made playing Doom games of yesteryear an enjoyable and highly memorable experience. Go out and buy this game NOW! You will not be disappointed!!

I’ll cut right to the chase, If you played Doom 2016 and are hoping for more of the same you are probably going to be disappointed. The game looks, plays, and feels not completely but significantly different from it’s predecessor and was clearly built from the ground up with a new vision instead of continuing where that game left off. Never the less Doom Eternal PC is THE game you’d want! This is both to the game’s advantage and detriment as while the new style is unique and definitely fun it has lost some of the flair that made Doom 2016 .

This game is what I’ve been waiting for. 4 years in the works, and I was not disappointed. Fantastic. Graphics: 9/10. Gameplay: 666/10. Story, 7/10. Music: 10/10. This is no doubt, my FAVORITE game of all time. Keep in mind, not the best. The gameplay on PC?. This gameplay is fast paced, brutally fun, nonstop action, and smoother than butter. New weapons, weapon mods, mod upgrades, suit upgrades, mastery upgrades, it’s a lot to take in, but later, you’ll get the hang of it.
